Notice - Typhoon Doksuri wreaks havoc on China
We are writing to inform you that Whale Logistics has been notified that Typhoon Doksuri has hit Chinese shores with heavy rainfall causing serious flooding on the eastern seaboard.
What is happening?
Typhoon Doksuri slammed into South Eastern China's Fujian province on the 28/07 and began to make its way up north. Some sources state that the storm has brought with it the heaviest rainfall Beijing has experienced in 140 years with dozens of people pronounced dead and over 1 million residents forced from their homes.
What does this mean?
Although we have not been notified of a disruption to Chinese port operations per se, the heavy rain and flooded roads will cause serious issues in the movement of containers to and from terminals.
