Notice - Typhoon approaches Shenzhen
We are writing to inform you that Whale Logistics has been notified of a typhoon approaching Shenzhen tonight, 17th July, 2023, resulting in disruptions at terminals.
What is happening?
Whale has been notified of an approaching Typhoon which has impacted terminal operations from Da Chan Bay, Yantian and Shekou ports forcing them to suspend operations today. It is expected operations will commence as of tomorrow Tuesday, 18th July, 2023.
What does this mean?
Although the suspended operations may be short lived, it is likely that the disruption will impact empty container drop off's, pick up's and container deliveries and terminals and transport operators alike will be playing catch up over the coming days. Changes to sailing schedules and port rotations are also a possibility and we will continue to provide updates as they arise and should the situation escalate.
